We may collect identity data (your name and your partner's name), contact data (email address), transaction data (payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal; we do not store card details), technical data (IP address, browser and device type, usage data), profile data (your wedding details, website content, photos, and guest RSVP responses), and guest data (names, emails, and RSVP responses your guests submit). We do not collect special category data such as race, religion, health, or political opinions.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to create and manage your account and wedding website, process payments for premium upgrades, send transactional emails (account confirmations and RSVP notifications), respond to support enquiries, improve our service, and comply with legal obligations. We only send marketing communications with your consent, and you can opt out at any time. Our legal bases under UK GDPR are contract performance, legal obligation, legitimate interests, and consent.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted providers to run the service: Stripe and PayPal (payments), Amazon Web Services (email delivery), Google (Google Analytics for website analytics and Google Ads for advert conversion measurement, only with your consent), and hosting and infrastructure providers. All are required to handle your data in line with UK GDPR. Some providers (for example Google) process data outside the UK/EEA; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by law. If your account is inactive for 6 months we email you a warning; if you do not log in within 30 days, your account and associated data are permanently deleted. You can prevent deletion simply by logging in.
